THROWBACK NIGHT
Special Thanks to Our Sponsor
The Wake County Speedway "Throwback Night" page serves as a place to remember the grassroots motorsports legacy planted by the Simpkins family in 1962 on property near the Simpkins Garage.
We hope, in the future, to build a permanent display space to honor the drivers, race teams, and families who played a vital role in the building and continued development of the little race track on the red clay hill. With your support, we'd like to make our Throwback Night an annual event as we add more names and memories to "America's Favorite Bullring."
If you are a former racer or staff member of Wake County Speedway, or a family member representing a deceased driver or member of the track staff and would like to be considered for inclusion here in our digital library, please email info@wcspeedway.com with the subject line: "Throwback Night."
