Raleigh, N.C., March 4, 2022/ - If the opening night of Wake County Speedway's historic 60th Season wasn't already exciting enough, fans will now get to experience an octane-fueled mini-concert before the Eagle Rock Concrete 165.
From Hollywood to "Raleighwood", the ultimate tribute to the legendary Sunset Strip rockers responsible for rock anthems like "Kickstart My Heart", Girls, Girls, Girls, and "Home Sweet Home", are set to play a special pre-race set on Friday night, April 1st at 8 pm.
Mostley Crue - A Tribute to Motley Crue, will headline "Rock the Ring" presented by Bandit Towing and Transport, live from the LeithCars.com Victory Lane Stage.
Wake County Speedway fans will have the best seats in the house for Mostley Crue's amped-up, adrenaline-filled performance with their regular $15 admission to race night. Seniors, military, and student admission are $12, children 6 - 12 are $5, and kids 5 and under are free.
"Stockcar racing and rock n' roll is a powerful combination", said Mark Arsen, host of "Mark Arsen's Big Hair Show" which aired on former Raleigh rock radio station WRDU106.1FM from 1998 to 2001. "The driving energy you get from Crue songs like "Dr. Feelgood" and "Live Wire" is an exciting way to launch the opening race at Wake County Speedway as they celebrate sixty years of Friday Night Lights," said Arsen. "I'm glad I could help bring Mostley Crue - A Tribute to Motley Crue to "America's Favorite Bullring" for this special mini-concert. They really bring the sound, look, and excitement of a Crue concert to wherever they play. Big props to Bandit Towing and Transport in Apex for sponsoring the show too!"
