Seven feature events, everything from Power Wheel action for the kids to Late Model cars were on tap with the first 50 youngsters receiving Hot Wheel cars from Peggy Fleming/ Turn Key Designs and candy from the “Candy Man” Chris Vestal, thank you both. The Power Wheel winner was ready, The Sanford Streak grabbing the win on his 1st visit to Wake County Speedway, Cy Simpkins ran 2nd with Caleb and Gwen Fleming crossing the stripe in 3rd.

The Solid Rock Carriers 60 lap Late Model Feature winner was Goldsboro speedster Clay Jones who held off “Shotgun” Miller from Apex after Willow Spring driver Randy Renfrow had gremlins slow his bad fast hotrod around lap 52. Hall held off Zack Brown to grab the “W” follow by Jason Austin, Jason Beck and Tyler Hocutt. A big thank you to Jacob O’Neal and his daddy grabbing the win in the 5 lap Bando feature. I don’t know where the Bando’s are, Redhead Racing went north to Chicago and I think Cam Murray ran 2nd down Concord way but we need Bando stars and cars at the county.
