With all the rain I'm sure some of the drivers are getting a little rusty! We're running a practice special all next week so everyone can get their cars tuned up (and their driving skills honed in) for our next race on Friday June 3rd. If you have a race car and have never raced at Wake County this might be the time to come and check us out! ... See MoreSee Less

Dennis HunterOK, I NEED to say this. I am African Americans and I have never felt so welcome at an event. My wife and myself had the normal worries of a visitor from Harlem in New York, about attending a car racing event in the capital of the southern state of North Carolina. Boy! Were we made to feel at home and welcome. The local Hockey team, hunting and fishing are next on my list. Count me in as a new member of the "Good ol' boy" team. Expand yourself, come out and enjoy new friends.5 days ago   ·  1

Without much of the staff, Friday Night Racing at Wake County Speedway, wouldn't be possible. We would like to recognize the lead announcer at Wake County Speedway, Brandon Dickson. “No company, small or large, can win over the long run without energized employees who believe in the mission and understand how to achieve it.” Jack Welch. #employeerecognition #wcsfridaynightracing ... We’re very excited to post this flyer for our next race, Friday May 20th. It’s Scout Night at the Races Honoring the Simpkins Family! All Scouts under the age of 18 get in free if wearing their uniform! Family members entering with scouts get $3 off the adult admission price! ($12 instead of $15)

We couldn’t be more proud to be honoring the Simpkins Family! Wake County Speedway would not exist today if the Simpkins didn’t have a dream back in the early 1960’s to create a racing facility on the south side of Raleigh! We can't wait to honor and introduce some of the people who have made it all happen, from the early years to now, through sacrifice, dedication, hard work, and serious perseverance!

Plan to come out and thank this wonderful family for the legacy they have built over the last 50 years!

Please share this flyer with all your friends and we look forward to seeing you on the 20th!
