Zachary Marks wins at Wake County Speedway

Friday night, Zachary Marks presented his daddy, Jerry an early Father’s Day present roaring to victory in the Solid Rock Carriers Late Model division.

Marks turned back all challengers to score his 1st victory of the season. Marks thanked his sponsors, family and fans from Capital Chevy victory lane. Marks and his crew had his Schulz Iron Works, Rankin Racing Engines Hotrod had handling and horsepower to hold off Caleb Day in his Black Flag Motorsports machine.

The Turn Key Design driven by Alex Fleming, Raleigh came home 3rd with Goldsboro’s Clay Jones and Apex driver Shotgun Miller crossing the stripe in 4th and 5th place to round out the top five positions. Great racing, great car counts, great fans old and new were treated to a fun evening,  “America’s Favorite Bullring” was the place to be.

The Hocutts Automotive Service 4 Cylinders put on a great battle with track champion , TJ. Dillon, Fuquay scoring the victory in his M&M Steel Ford Mustang, holding off Raleigh’s Jeremy Ottaway Roof Truss Ford.  “Superman” Chad Williams, Angier ran 3rd with Andrew Howe, Apex and Aaron Champion, Selma in the A&M Plumbing hotrod crossing the stripe in 4th and 5th place. The Capps Motorsports Modified 4 Cylinder division winner Dennis Capps of Garner held off Willow Spring driver, Kevin Jeffery’s to increase his point lead in the division. The #4 ran a great race to come home 3rd with Mark Hood rounding out the top 4 places. The Bandolero stars and cars winner was Jacob Brady who held off Jacob O’Neal and Caleb Brady to score his first win since breaking his arm. “Atta Boy” award for breaking your arm and coming back and grabbing the victory. The Bomber Victory  went to the black #7 Capital Chevy Camaro and the evening was complete.
